Martin Kissinger is a British entrepreneur and the co-founder and CEO of Lendable, a fintech company headquartered in London that connects consumers seeking credit with institutional investors, utilising advanced machine-learning and automated underwriting systems. Born in Germany and relocating to the UK as a teenager, Kissinger went on to study economics at the London School of Economics (BSc) and then completed an MPhil (or equivalent postgraduate degree) at the University of Oxford.

Before founding Lendable in 2014, he held roles including intern at venture-capital firms and worked as an entrepreneur-in-residence at Rocket Internet, gaining experience in technology-driven businesses. From its launch, Lendable positioned itself as a faster, more transparent alternative to traditional banks and older peer-to-peer lenders. The company’s model aggregates lendable capital from institutional investors and uses data and algorithmic decision-making to underwrite unsecured consumer loans more efficiently.

Under Kissinger’s leadership, Lendable secured large funding rounds—including a £210m raise in March 2022 that valued the company at approximately £3.5bn. Kissinger has been recognised as one of the notable leaders in fintech, with his firm featured in lists such as FinTech Magazine's Top 100 Leaders. He continues to drive Lendable’s growth and innovation in consumer finance, emphasising fairness, speed and scalability in an industry undergoing digital transformation.
