Mark Dixon is a British entrepreneur and the founder and chief executive officer of IWG, formerly known as Regus. He left formal schooling at age 16 and pursued various ventures — including sandwich delivery and food-service businesses — before identifying a gap in the market for flexible office space. In 1989, while in Brussels, Dixon observed business people working around coffee-shop tables and founded the company that would become IWG with a mission to provide professional, ready-to-use workspace solutions.

Over the subsequent decades, he led the company’s international expansion, turning it into a global network with thousands of workspaces across more than 100 countries. Under his leadership, IWG has evolved to support hybrid working and flexible office models — including suburban locations and local hubs — reflecting Dixon’s belief that workspace should be convenient, flexible and suited to the changing nature of work.

He continues to drive strategy, innovation and global growth for the business. Dixon’s journey from school-leaver to head of a multinational enterprise underscores his entrepreneurial drive, ability to spot structural trends in work and property, and commitment to scaling a business that serves changing working styles around the world.
