In 2013, he teamed up with childhood friend Greg Orlowski to launch Deliveroo and they quickly built market share with a slick, easy-to-use app. Shu urges entrepreneurs to create businesses in areas they find energising, saying it will be easier to stay the course when they encounter those inevitable “bumps in the road”. He also believes primary research is very valuable, still jumping on his bike to deliver food orders himself.
