Surinder Arora is a British-Indian entrepreneur and investor who founded Arora Group and serves as its executive chairman. He arrived in the UK as a teenager after leaving India and began working in the hospitality sector, including as a waiter in London. In 1999 he secured a contract to run a four-star hotel at Heathrow airport for airline crew, a pivotal step that laid the foundation for his future business.

Under Arora’s leadership, Arora Group has grown from its hotel-near-airport origins into a broader investment business with hotel ownership, property development and a construction division. The group’s portfolio includes premium-brand hotels, airport-adjacent real estate and large-scale development assets. Arora’s strategy emphasises location-specific assets, operational management of hospitality businesses and long-term value growth in real estate.

Beyond business, he and his wife founded the Arora Charitable Foundation, through which they support social responsibility and education initiatives in the UK and overseas. Although he remains at the helm of the group, Arora is increasingly focused on long-term legacy, leadership succession and strategic expansion into mixed-use development and hospitality outside the UK. His journey from immigrant beginnings to a major property and hotel investor reflects an entrepreneurial mindset, operational discipline and a willingness to seize niche market opportunities.
